I can’t stress enough HOW important it is to have your photos printed at a professional lab. I always put instructions on my client DVD’s instructing them to use mpix.com. Their printing quality is excellent and you receive your photos quickly. It’s also a really good idea to use an online service for printing because you will always have your photos in a safe place online. In case you lose your DVD you can go back and have them printed again. I can’t count how many times I have received emails from frantic clients who are almost in tears because they misplaced their DVDs with all their photos on them. Luckily I have been able to give them a replacement DVD. But recently (FYI) I had to delete 75% of all my clients’ backed up photos in order to make room on my hard drive.
Here are some comparisons for you so you can see the difference in quality.
Mpix - a nearly perfect match
Walgreens – dark shadows, coloring is off
Walmart - All I can say is what is up with our skin tone??? We look dead.
So people….If you are going to make an investment on having professional photos taken, please be sure to follow through and have them printed professionally as well.![]()
Thanks and have a lovely Wednesday.

And thank you so much for the comment. I’m glad you like mpix so much! Yes their delivery times are excellent!
Thank you so much for recommending mpix.com!! Since I first read this post (then pinned it on pinterest for my friends!), I have been using them for all my prints and I could not be happier with the results… most of the time I don’t even choose a specially expedited shipping option and I still get the prints within a day or two! I love that there’s a person that hand-signs the shipping form, letting me know that each print was personally inspected before shipment and it’s really inexpensive!!! Thank you!!!!
I have struggled with ordering online as the colors are almost always off. What format do you save your images so that the translate well to print vs. online viewing? Your images are gorgeous!
