It’s us! I thought about waiting for “Daisy’s” arrival before I took family pictures, but then I thought about it and decided that I better do some now before there are 4 of us and I have to hire someone to take them. Right now its already a little difficult and stressful to set up the tripod for shots of 3 people. For instance, in this attempt Matt wasn’t feelin’ it which meant I had to stop after 4 pictures and Mia decided to have an explosion in her diaper right before we started. With no other outfit for her, we did what we had to do. I won’t get into too much detail. I’ll just say, you don’t want to see what’s on the other side of her clothes!! So, after the 4th member of our family arrives, I just don’t see tripod pictures happening. I will most definitely need to hire someone to take them (which I hate doing). We had our pictures taken once before we had Mia and? —> We HATE-TED them. Oh lordy, if you only saw them. These turned out better and they were taken by the tripod! Haha. Going into these I thought for sure that Mia wouldn’t look at the camera once, but surprisingly she looked at the tripod more than she ever looks at me when I’m holding the camera. **smirk and eye roll**
kelley i think i got that cardigan from urban outfitters 5 years ago and the dress is from a shop on south congress next to “Wet” hair salon.

Nancy, I wish I could, but I wouldn’t want to offend that photographer.
The reason we didn’t like them is because the photographer directed us to make serious faces in every single shot. There isn’t one picture we are smiling in. Every time we look at them we just laugh bc they are so cheesy and don’t show our true personalities. Lesson learned though. Next time we will tell the photographer what we want before having the pictures done.

These are amazing! You give me inspiration for my husband and me to try to take our own Christmas pictures next week. He doesn’t think it’ll work out, but I’m going to show him this amazingness and prove him wrong!

Ya I think it WAS the beeping that she liked actually. I think I;ll try using the tripod next time with her and dance around behind it.
seriosly! You are amazing! I think they are beautiful. I would consider your attempt at family pictures as SUCCESS!!!! The one time I tried using the timer for photos of me and my son, he looked at the camera the whole time. I guess it is something different to them, and the beeping helped
I can’t wait to see family pictures in the future. Maybe if you do some right after she is born, you can still use the tripod. When they are that tiny, they don’t move much or look at the camera anyways. Good Luck!
